During 2006/07 Lancashire Sinfonietta and Classic FM's sellout concert series, "Mini-Mozart", taught over 2000 babies and parents about the benefits of music as a developmental tool.
The Lancashire Sinfonietta is an outstanding and unique chamber orchestra with a mission to educate, entertain and inspire communities in Lancashire.
We believe that we are the only modern professional orchestra to be established by a local authority (Lancashire County Council) and the Lancashire Sinfonietta was born in 1996 to celebrate the wealth of talent nurtured in Lancashire. This enlightened Council continues to support our work into a 12th season. The Sinfonietta's members include some of the country's finest musicians from many of the ABO orchestras and works with world-class Lancastrian soloists, most of whom received their early musical education in Lancashire. These home-grown musical champions return to their communities to inspire the next generation of talent at a personal, local level and mentoring is an important aspect of our work. Further details can be found on the Lancashire Sinfonietta website: www.bluefroguk.com The Lancashire Sinfonietta is supported by Lancashire County Council and managed by Blue Frog Music Management (General Manager - Fiona Sinclair).
