This day was split into two halves; in the morning we welcomed Stuart Bruce, Partnership Manager at Orchestras Live who talked about Flights of Fancy, and there was a round-table discussion about each orchestra's current projects and challenges, sharing best practice.
In the afternoon, attendees divided into working groups to develop a response to the issues raised at the Paul Hamlyn Foundation event with the ABO on Friday 7 March, discussing the potential challenges to the existing education and participation provision by UK orchestras. The discussion at this meeting focused on the areas of Innovation, Collaboration, Risk Taking and Sustainability.
